About Us
The Xerox Hiking Club has been around for many years now, along with quite a few of its original members! As a group we try and organise weekends away in some of the most beautiful parts of the UK that are not easily visited on a day trip. The club organises and books the accommodation on behalf of its members.
We endeavour, where possible, to book exclusive use of comfortable bunkhouse style accommodation at reasonable cost, generally well below the equivalent B&B rates. This ensures we can enjoy ourselves without disturbing too many people! During the warmer summers months we organise a couple of camping trips, one of these is usually in the Lake District.
Like the locations the walks can vary tremendously, from the top of ScaFell Pike, to the rugged coastline of Dorset. There is generally something for everyone on our weekends away. In addition to our weekend events, new for this year are a series of Sunday walks that cover sections of the Ridgeway National Trail, hopefully with the aim of completing the whole walk by the end of the year.
Our weekend events are always great fun, and a chance to meet up on a regular basis and have a great time. They are a real hoot, visit the Gallery and Golden Oldies pages and see!
